I have my first ever chickens

thankyou to everyone who has helped me with my queries the last couple of weeks.

we have 6 rehomed chickens of uncertain lineage that are all in lay apparently (time will tell) if this experience goes wel,l I have space to expand the flock and really like the look of some light sussex when I decide to enlarge the flock i'll be back for more advice im sure...

or when one gets sick or any other reason really cos your all so helpfull  :D :D :D

congratulations... you'll just go out to "check" them, and find yourself in the twilight zone of "chicken watching" when the hours just fly by!
post some photos, we'd love to see them....

oh, watch this space, before you know it you will be spending soo much time just hanging around with the hens...they are such characters, enjoy!

One sunny night I went and took my glass of wine to see the chickens and fell asleep watching them!! ;)

ok you take chicken watching to a whole new level sandy LOL but everyone is right ..

chickens are so much fun to watch .. especially when one finds something and all the other suddendly realise and it's like a scene from Benny Hill as they all chase around then jump into a group with bums in the air trying to get it lol

day 2 of the chook report we have 1 more egg in exactly the same place and same time as yesterday so my best guess is one of the 6 are laying!!!

we will wait on the others...
