Do you have appropriate certification to use  herbicide?
Linda

Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.

Let go of who you are and become who you are meant to be.

You only need it if using professional herbicide. But you're not seriously suggesting he should go on a spraying course before spraying a scratty pony paddock with a backpack sprayer?  :farmer:

... I have never used anything other than a set of harrows to even it out again ...
Out of curiosity [member=6533]landroverroy[/member] what sort of harrow do you use  - chain, zig-zag, disc or spring-tine ?

Zig zag. It's got tines long enough to rake over and even out the ruts without totally ripping up the grass.

Thanks again for all the advice. I’ll have a dig and inestigate further. What I do know is it was exceptionally waterlogged when we first moved in and still does

I see that was taken in March when after the wettest winter in memory, virtually the whole country was a quagmire!
Did it not even dry out last summer?
