recommend place for ear tags?
« on: August 10, 2010, 10:07:27 pm »
no, dont say "in the ear!!"
I mean, where do you buy your ear tags from?

I prefer the small, two part tags (even though our two have only one left) to the big button types .... I've looked at that many suppliers, my head is spinning!
So please, tell me where you get yours    :)    :goat:

Then Im concerned as to why you didn't buy - Feedback would be very welcome (good or bad) - Price? Range? Colour?

We are always looking to improve and supply what customers really want.

Thanks

Some of my goats have Richie tags, and some I got from  Ascott.  The Richie ones are much slimmer I have to say.  But, I only have an automatic tagger for the  Ascott ones, and had to borrow a tagger for the Richie tags.

dont be concerned... theres another 5 1/2 months before the little chap has to be tagged anyway!
I'm still just looking.    :)

tell me though... can I get a tagger that will do both goats and piglets?  or does it totally depend on the type of tag I chose? !

I get mine from shearwells, they are the loop tags (EID), as I use them for the sheep too (otherwise would need two taggers..). Have separate tagger for the pigs.

So far my kids have still got theirs. although it looks as if one might get infected.
