I don't really know, WBF. She was just 'asleep' one morning and never woke up.

A farmer friend told me that's how they go with pulpy kidney, so maybe her vaccinations weren't up to date. I have no way of knowing though, and all our other sheep have been fine since. Caveat emptor and all that :-(

With my silly old lady hat on - Oh what a shame, poor thing.  With my accountant hat on - I hope she didn't cost much  :innocent:

Hi folks, Same again this year. I would have started a new thread, but this one ended up being unintentionally hilarious, and deserves a re-read 2 years on, especially with all the Brexit shenanigans still ongoing. (Boris for PM?  Who'd have thought it?!)

So, does anybody ([member=24813]Foobar[/member] ?) have three spare chronogest sponges they'd be willing to post to me?

Many thanks!

Does your vet not split a pack? Mine splits sponges but not CIDR's. I have moved over to CIDR's for the goats this year, less messy to insert, but you do need an applicator.

Don't know if you're on the Zwartbles Facebook page but someone on there is advertising 13 spare sponges

Hi all,

Yes, our vet will split a pack, but it's always worth asking on TAS first....... and once again, you've all come up trumps. Thanks Silkwoodzwartbles - deal now done via Facebook  .

Apologies for my tardiness in replying to this ... I do have some spare, but they are right at the end of their use by date, so I'm glad you have found some alternatives elsewhere [member=2128]Womble[/member]
