I planted my garlic indoors in about March as veg beds werent ready, planted them out in May and they are doing really well, just wondered when I will know they are ready, not grown garlic before.

Hello Ponytrap This is what I do anyway. When the leaves turn yellow. Dig them up and dry them for a few days before storing. I get the mud off and leave them on my gravel drive for a few days. then make them into strings and hang them up or I also spread them out on a sheet of corrugated iron in the barn for a couple of months. They then store well in buckets.

Thanks Lazybee, I'll do just that, once the leaves have turned!
