Topper running at odd angle????
« on: June 19, 2017, 07:01:26 pm »
OK, need some help, took the old tractor down to the lower field with a field master topper.

As I am topping, look back as I always do to check cutting and the topper looks like it's running on an angle, I lift the pto and it straightens up, lower, topping goes on an angle ???

Had a look and nothing obvious that I can see, the only thing I have differently is to run slightly higher cut, which I adjusted it for so it was still level.

At a loss and a quick google didn't bring anything up

Any help appreciated

Pictures would maybe help , are you saying that when down it leans to one side _  skid problem on one side or one tractor arm  not going down level .    Or is it not following in a straight line

Not following a straight line, if appears to be level and cutting ok

Have looked at a GMT 230 topper  looks straight forward  all the bolts along the a frame tight ?      Some tractors have the ends of the lift arms that can move out and in  and lock in place  ?

Still playing with tractors

Sounds like a linkage / hydraulics issue, possibly a stuck draft setting?

Adjust where your driving so it cuts straight?

As long as its not catching a tyre and behind you - its ok ;)
