Its not ivy is it? It does look familiar, but not sure..... Are the leaves soft or tough?

I thought at first it was a cucurbit, but I think the leaves are shiny not soft, and those green fruits, well I've no idea.  Are you in Britain DenisCooper?

It'd be helpful to know the size of the leaves and fruits, too

Hi, yes sorry not much info...

yes these are in great Britain.

the fruit is going the same as it would on a grape vine, and are about the size of a blueberry. Some appear to be turn red.

Leaves are quite big and shiny and tough - not soft and wilting.

A bit hard to see detail on the photos, but it might be black bryony (Tamus communis). Try googling images and see how it compares to what you have. If it is it is worth noting, particularly if you have young ones around, that all parts of the plant are poisonous.
