tyne harrow dilema
« on: August 30, 2016, 03:38:08 pm »
Hi,

I have 15 acres of permanent pasture with lots of moss and mole hills, a few ant hills and sheep.  Having researched I think a tyne harrow is the way forward.  Our chain harrow just bumps over all but the loosest mole hills.

Has anyone tried the Oxdale 8 foot fixed weeder tyne harrow?  How effective / robust is it?

Do you have any way of weighing your chain harrows down a bit?
Fixing concrete blocks to the chains/heavy posts etc.
I've seen folk doing this before and it worked well as well as saving some money.
