Changing drive belt on flail mower
« on: July 15, 2016, 09:06:00 am »
Our belt snapped last week on our concept flail mower. we ordered new ones off the internet, but having real difficulty fitting them- just cannot fit the rubber over the top large pulley, it is such a confined space. Anyone else have this problem or can offer advice. Have been trawling internet last night and my husband is ringing the dealership which supplied the mower, thanks

Don't know this machine, but when fitting belts...if their is an adjuster, adjust it as far as possible so the belt is at its loosest setting ,  then like a bike chain get the belt on as much as you can then wind the mechanism round to get the belt over the lip of the pulley.

I don't know this machine either, but as a general rule I find it easier to fit a belt over the larger pulley(s) first and the smallest pulley last.
