yep me too,
even though we are using the term ' diet ' should that be the norm as in the amount of food daily i am giving
them prior to having first kids?

You will need to increase the amount of food they get again before they have kids- but not until they are well into the pregnancy. You might need to give them a little more food in the autumn/winter when there won't be branches etc for them to eat.
