I have chickens and ducks - all laying beautifully - but my favourites are my quail: I have four coturnix(wonderful little birds), two bobwhites (one northern and one orange both hens) and a pair of chinese painted (pretty but useless) too scared to tame and not laying.  We as a family also have two horses two dogs and a very funny friendly dwarf lop eared rabbit...  we also have a duck bought at a few hours old, raised indoors over the winter period that will play with the other ducks in the garden all day - but comes and sleeps in the kitchen at night - she will not even consider sleeping with the others in their huge converted dog house (a hotel for ducks)

Hey, Jaquelee, welcome to the forum from sunny Clackmannan - well it was - it's pitch black now!  Where are you?
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age
