Need a Working Boar in a Hurry - Herefordshire
« on: February 08, 2016, 10:26:48 am »
Got a super little pedigree GOS boar last August but he went down with a mystery infection a couple of days after arrival, even though in our quarantine facility.  Had the vet in and he was given Draxxin and Metacam and was back to normal in a few days but he's been running with a gilt since late December and she's now returned to service for the third time, so suspect his fertility was affected.  Don't want to leave the gilt for another cycle and have two others due to be served soon and a third in April.  All are GOS but any breed of proven boar would do - just want to get them in pig and can sort out pedigree breeding next time around.  Running short of time as due to start lambing fairly soon.  Anyone got a bored boar?
