Grrrrr how annoyed am I!

The show has introduced online entering for the first time ever. Great I think, I'll do that, it will definitely mean that they won't spell my goat's names wrong. But when you get into entering, it automatically opts you to have a full pen for every goat you enter. At a cost of £13.15 a pen, I am not putting two little female kids into a pen each, when they would far happier to share a pen!

Not only that, but the show has moaned in the last 2 years about the volume of entries, as they refuse to give us a bigger tent, so they want us to book less pens!

So, I'm off to write out my forms in full, and hand them in as I normally do!

The show entry manager is a friend of mine - I'll let him know!

Oh that's handy to know Annie. Very handy! I went to school with one of the girls that worked in the Livestock office- that was really handy too, but she's left now sadly.

Have sent David a message, but he's off sick just now so won't get it for a couple of days.  I'll let you know if he makes any comments

Put the complsint on their Facebook page and got this
Quote
back for you Beth - In point of fact we have not refused to give the goats a bigger tent - over the past couple of years there has been no requirement for a larger tent, because the number of pens booked actually decreased. Further more it is only the sheep that have the entry and penning linked by way of a combined cost - the goats can enter any number of classes and only book as few pens as they wish

Actually, they didn't have it wrong. What was wrong that when you entered a goat, they were charging £17, which I assumed was the entry fee plus the price of a pen. But actually, they do have a problem with their online entering, and the system doesn't recognise the cheaper's member entry fees, and is charging everyone non-members fees!

However, we filled it all in and sent it off, only cost me £254:20!  :o

And the £46 it cost Alex to enter his two. The £70 it cost my sister to enter her 3, and the £60 it was costing my mother! We have entered between us 5 milkers, 5 goatlings and 4 kids.

Eeeek!
