What a pity I am so far away from Fife (274 miles to be exact!).  I am on the lookout for some Shetland sheep, but only place they crop up round here is the minority breed sales, and even then not many.

I do have family in Glasgow, who come down regularly, but I can just see their townie faces if I asked them to call and collect some sheep for me!!!

Same here :( I really like the Shetlands too. I'm a little bit further north than you Roxy but not much!

I have no idea of actuals costs but I'm guessing transportation would be astronomic for a small flock  ???

Hi Bigchicken

Original ewes (in 2000) were registered and it has been a closed flock with tups coming from registered breeder so I think any of them could be registered ( We have details of who is related to who) but would have to check with Society to be sure. Have several moorits amongst them.

Cheers AliClare

Both doing well the lamb is a complete pet and runs to me as soon as I get in the field and wants attention. The ewe has not quite made up its mind yet but is thinking about it.

Big update the ewe has twin ewe lambs fantastic, she had bad pink eye and was in poor condition at tuping time what a star. I have big respect for this sheep.
