I would use him but he is a real dinky Dorset as he was hand reared and still showing absolutely no interest in the ewes as yet.

I personally think he is a bit young and after a bad lambing year this year i need something proven!

Thanks for the comments though x

Maybe it depends on the breed.  I've found shetlands to mature very early!
We keep Ryelands, Southdowns, Oxford Downs, Herdwicks, Soay, Lleyn, an Exmoor pony and Shetland geese.  Find us on Twitter as @RareBreedsScot

Has any within reasonable travelling distance of Turriff (Aberdeenshire) got a Herwick ram for hire?  Preferably registered.  I've just the two Herwick ewes, so not worth buying a ram, but would like to breed them pure this year.  Thanks.

Someone on here was selling Herdwicks (in Scotland, I think) - he might be able to help. Look in Marketplace.

Hercules is certainly proven and has been working his magic with the ladies since the beginning of the month...

Ooo - can I hijack the post as well? We are preferably looking for a Grey Faced dartmoor Ram, or failing that, a Leicester Longwool, or failing that a Shetland ram (if he could cope with our big fluffy GFD's and leicesters)

We are based in oxfordshire. Would also consider buying him. Thanks

Due to being totally let down i am still in need of a ram.  Dinky dorset still oblivious to what he is supposed to do...

Must be cheap, friendly and able to deliver if possible.

Many thanks

Thanks
