turned in eyelid
« on: April 07, 2010, 09:24:27 am »
I have a ram lamb with a turned in lower eyelid. I've tried pinching it to get it to swell and pop out. Did fix it but the next day it was back in. Even took him to the vet yesterday and she injected it but this morning it seems just as bad. Can anyone help?

The damage on the eye if there is any will take a little while to correct, but provided the eye lashes are no longer inturned the lamb should recover.

I normally find that pinching works fine but otherwise injecting stops it - when done correctly!

You need to pinch it out a couple of times a day for it to actually work. The injection in the lower lid works very well as it forces the lid out, but must be done by someone with experience, I have seen this go very wrong!
