Metacam
« on: August 25, 2017, 08:58:02 am »
One of my ewes is lame today, Friday and I'm going to give her a shot of Metacam. I was told I could give her another shot on Monday if necessary, which seems quite a long time between doses. I wondered if that was the general dosing time, 3 days between shots?
Thank you

Have you determined why she's lame?  Painkiller may permit her to put weight on a leg that would be better held up to rest it/keep weight off an abscess, or whatever.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't give her any Metacam yesterday, I decided to see how she was today. She's a lot better, so I'm just going to monitor her over the next few days. Thanks.
