UK Rav day 2010 & knitting retreat
It’s going to be at the University of Stirling. As some of you might know, it’s a wonderful campus (it’s apparently won awards for being the prettiest campus in the UK) and has a huge lake in the middle of it. They’ve offered us an amazingly good rate, but I want to get the 2009 event out of the way first before really starting work on it. Tickets for 2010 will be on sale at the 2009 event and thereafter on a dedicated website, so we can maybe attract people from across the pond/Europe.

event is 7th august

a day of wool and craft on

6th June 2009

To be held at Coventry Central Hall

Starting at 10.00am (not sure on finishing time yet!)

The website is here

Tickets available to order here

It is being organised for Ravelry members- as well as anyone else who wants to come along- in celebration of everything that Ravelry offers us, and more.

NB It is NOT being organised by Ravelry LLC (but it is hoped will of benefit to it!)

There will be Meg Swansen and her sister Lloie with us

There will be Woolly Wormhead with us

There will be Jared Flood (aka Brooklyn Tweed) with us

and lots of other people you’ve always wanted to meet (waiting for confirmation)

There will be lots of workshops for you to have a go at something new

There will be a quite a few stitch and bitch cafe areas

There will be a marketplace for indie dyers, yarnies and designers

There will be a fashion show of past, present and future knitting

And there may well be a lot more happening too.

First section of Linz's post applies to 2010 - Stirling Uni is teh venue.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

I'm up for the weekend but not a full week. Sounds great Fluffy. Are you going along?
