« on: April 23, 2008, 01:24:17 pm »
I hope this is the right section to advertise this:

The Epona Trust (registered charity in France no. 0501006626) will be holding its' first open day, near La Haye Pesnel, on Sunday 25th May.

This is a pony rescue charity currently home to 25 rescued ponies.

There will be stalls, cream teas, Hog Roast,  pony rides and a jumble sale to raise awareness and funds for the charity.

We shall be showing  Mangalitza pigs (Hairy Pigs) and GOS weaners, as well as Ouessant sheep, Turkeys, fancy chooks and mini goats, amongst others.

If you would like to visit or exhibit, contact Ann on 02 33 61 88 41 or Emmanuelle (French speaking) on 02 33 91 67 31 or e-mail info@eponatrust.org

Thank you for reading this, see you there.!

Sorry, just spotted the last posting.  Yes we do need thing to sell or prizes for winning.  Anyone in the Avranches local please contact me or the trust and we can arrange collection of anything you have that we can use on the day.

If you have anything Carole, then we can arrange something.

Thanks

All details are on the Epona Trust website above - the times are 10.00 - 1900.

The trust operates in UK as well by the way so worth a look for anyone that might be interested to support it in other ways such as sponsoring a pony.

Have looked on the web site and wow what good work this lady has undertaken. We will be coming and supporting this event and I will bring some things for the stalls too.

Thank you Carole, and anyone looking for a good day out be very welcome to join us.

The weather is possibly going to be a bit iffy, so come armed with an umbrella just incase.  In true English style though, we are not going to let a bit of rain spoil the day.

What a great day out, wanted to say thanks to all the organisers, the horses were lovely and managed to buy  bargain  gifts and  a pig roast which was fantastic.
Also enjoyed looking at the animals on display

Is this to be an annual event? if so please let me know when the next day is

It certainly was a wonderful day and we had such wonderful support from everyone on the day.

Yes there will be another open day next year, date to be arranged.

We are however in the early stages of organising a Christmas Open Day when we hope Santa will attend.

Watch this space.
