Poorly duckling
« on: May 21, 2015, 03:43:18 pm »
I had a duckling which started to pip last night, this morning slightly bigger hole, movement , but it was struggling. I carefully helped remove a bit of the shell to help it on its way. Some of the membrane was a wee bit moist, some had dried up. Duckling still in incubator but not fluffing up because of gunk hardening. I have bathed it twice already with warm water and cotton pads. Any suggestions, mojo

I would say you've done all you can. Let him rest a bit and he'll probably struggle out by himself. :fc: :&>
