Permitted Development remote land
« on: January 19, 2022, 08:55:40 pm »
Hi everyone,

We have a holding in an AONB which is roughly 6 acres. We want to purchase some more land in order to be over the 5hectares for permitted development so we can erect a few structures for animal shelters / agricultural storage etc - we know the land doesn't need to be connected but is there a limit to how far away it can be to qualify? Can it be in another county for example?

Many thanks in advance.

Not exactly the answer to your question, but you don't have to own the land - you can rent it to increase the size of your holding.
