Hello everybody! 
Been reading this forum for several months since I acquired some land at a very reasonable rent with pretty much a lifetime guarantee of tenancy.

Found the advice on here amazing, amusing and really interesting.

Me and my partner (getting married next year  ) are just getting the land ready as it has been a bit neglected for a couple of years and are about to start erecting fences and runs for a couple of pigs and some chickens. The best advice I've read is not to take on too much at once, so I'm going to work on a 3-5 year plan to get everything up and running.

Should be mortgage free by the summer so hope to be able to work part time over the summer (I'm a builder and Landscape Gardener) and am really looking forward to working towards 'the good life'

I'm in the beautiful Stroud Valleys of Gloucestershire and my land is on the outskirts of Bisley.
Had a good look at the field today and reckon I can get another 150sq metres out of it once the hedges and trees are cut back
