Write a letter to your local newspaper.  People need to understand what damage dogs can do.

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Fully agree!! I did after my sheep got attacked by a dog and I had a phone call due to the article from someone who had issues with the same dogs so it is worth it!

So sorry that you have had to go through this heartbreak.  Its sickening when people or dogs cause such horrible things to happen.

i dont think dogs were involved, there were no marks on any of the 4 sheep.  Padlock on gate was cut with bolt cutters so i think they were trying to steal the sheep but my ram obviously had other ideas.  The other 3 sheep were in quite poor condition so i think the ram was the target.
