Kind of smalholder but without the land yet.... though I have a couple of possibilities of small acreage to rent which have come up over the last few days  ;D

Plan is to have half a dozen sheep to help with the training of my keen working line bearded collie and for my understanding of sheep (we're currently dong a weekly 3hour round trip to our herding instructor and her sheep  :o)

The dream is for the lottery win and my own smallholding but the odds are somewhat against us, still this will be a small step in the right direction.

Lynda

(if anyone in the North Lincs area has a few acres to rent or would like to have "timeshare sheep" I'd be very happy to hear from you  :))

Hi and welcome to TAS...I hope you get all that you want sooner rather than later...time share sheep sounds like a good idea...particularly if you can share the vet and feed bills as well...good luck.

If you were closer, you could timeshare mine. Except they don't understand that sheep are supposed to run away from dogs. When ours see the doggs, they know I'll be there too, hopefully with a bucket, so they run to the dogs.
