I've spoken to Greg I think about my hens purchased from Darkbrowneggs...they're yet to start laying, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for any day now. My young cuckoo Marans pullets [from Kevin Bowkett] are laying though.

I didn't manage to get any of the batch that came up last year, being too far down the order/waiting list once the boys started being identified, so if anyone who was luckier than me does get female chicks I would still like to be considered at POL, I really can't have another cockerel here, one is more than enough or I'd have offered to rehome one of the copper/black boys.  Or anyone else in north Fife area who has copper/black POLs with dark egg producing lines please.
