Hello from Edinburgh
« on: September 11, 2013, 05:57:57 pm »
Hi All! I've posted in the poultry section before, but I suppose I should say hello properly, so Hello!

I live in Edinburgh, so there's not an awful lot of smallholding going on here, but there's chickens on the go, much to the delight of our super-chicken-lovin' neighbours, and I'm looking into beekeeping adventure possibilities for the future.  ;D

Cheers,

Carmen

Hello from me in Lesmahagow

If you want to find out all that you could be doing why not come along to the Scottish Smallholder & Grower Festival http://www.scottishsmallholdershow.co.uk/
The Scottish Bee Keepers are going to be there, as are Solway bee supplies - everything you could ever need to know or want to buy will be there (and a lot of us TASers ;))

Not quite Edinburgh, but just outside in Midlothian. No smallholding, just a veg/fruit garden and a new overgrown allotment! Welcome to the forum!

 , We are in Clackmannan and keep a B&B, I love Edinburgh....hope to go to the Christmas  market as its so romantic..anyway, I did have a few chickens and a pair of ducks but as we are moving, (staying local) we gave them all away except 3 hens, one has since died but I am realistic, keeping anything other than our dogs, is far too much for me to deal with, I need a life back, although I do have fruit trees and love foraging but no more picking up poo and cleaning hen huts etc and I am not really an egg fan, I do like chickens though. I have 3 adult dogs and am keeping a pup from the litter of 8 I still am looking after, they will all be off in less than 2 weeks so then its me time and packing.......So HELLO!!
