How much space for a ram
« on: July 03, 2013, 10:32:41 am »
Our ram has been running with our ewes and their lambs but we are now getting to the stage where the lambs will begin to be weaned and we do not want the ewes to be covered by the ram until such time as they are all ready.

The question is how big an enclosure should we have to keep the ram happy and content and not want to wander off and what distance should we have between the ram paddock and the ewes?

Ram would need company, do you have any wethers or weaned ram lambs to put him with? He should ideally be out of sight of the ewes.

Yes, we have a wether to keep him company, what size space would they require? we can keep them out of sight of the ewes.
