Gabi's flight update
« on: March 26, 2013, 10:28:33 am »
We took a chance this morning 0300 hrs, some of the road to Knighton was down to single lane but driveable, went over to Craven Arms and picked up the A49 northbound , all ok untill Wrexham area , roads were very icy , but as we got up to Chester it was dry roads and hardly anything you could describe as snow.
So finally Gabi made it to the airport , I made it back through a blizzard at Wrexham and as I type this the snow is falling here again . Getting so fed up of it now , according to some weather girl on the car radio we can expect the next month to be about the same , very cold and wintery... :gloomy:

Glad Gabi got away ok. We barely have a covering of snow yet 10 miles in all directions sounds bad   But it's very cold and windy :cold:

Doug, it sounds bad where you are but glad that Gabi finally manged to get away.
The wind is raw here and all the water troughs keep freezing but at least we have  :sunshine:  There is no warmth in it though  :(

Glad Gabi managed to get away and that you got home safely.  I really do not want to think about more of the nasty white stuff next month.  We  have a week away booked and there's Wonderwool at Builth Wells.
