Hi all do any members have a good utility strain of Rhode Island Reds ?  Looking for hatching eggs or birds if not too far to travel  ;D :sunshine:

kevin you should have said last week when you picked the pigs up my parents have both utility LS & RIR you could have took some then. sadly the cock died this week so we will have to wait for more eggs until we get the new cock sorted.

we have a friend that may be able to help but wont be seeing him until newark show i will ask him what he has if you want.
we can still learn if we are willing to listen.

If you are nearish Kim, you maybe nearish me... I have half a dozen RIR eggs in the incubator that I wasn't really interested in, I only got them because they were in an auction lot with half a dozen Ixworths which I did want. If you'd like whatever day-olds appear in two weeks time let me know.

Quick update folks.........did in fact pick myself RIR cockerel and four pretty splendid looking girls the other day.........well.......i think they're splendid :-[   thanks for replies :sunshine:
