Goose eggs from Tizaala
« on: March 03, 2013, 01:58:52 pm »
When Doug and Gabi came over on Friday they bought me 6 goose eggs. I have given one to a neighbour and the other five I am going to use to make some 'faberge' eggs.
This morning OH and I have drilled them top and bottom and I have blown them. Actually I only have 4 shells to use as we ruined the first one with the drilling. The insides have each been bagged seperately for cake making and put in the freezer.
Now off to give them a good wash and then let them dry.

Sandy
the clue is in the name , FABERGE,
Russian court jeweler Karl Faberge  made them out of solid gold encrusted with jewels and enamel ,

Doug, thanks for the vote of confidence.
Sandy,
I will post when they are done but it won't be for a while yet. Somehow I doubt they will look quite like those Doug posted though  ;D
