Vets tomorrow...
« on: January 14, 2013, 05:47:50 pm »
...with Freddie who has hurt his front paw again. Its the third time its happened, always the same paw. He has been limping for a few days now, and I have had him on the antibiotic he was on before as I had some left. The vet actually told me to do  this last time I took him, to try and avoid another visit, but 3 days into the course and he doesnt seem to be improving much. I'd rather play safe and get him seen, plus I can get a painkiller for him at the same time.
If its not husbands, its animals. I just cant win!!!!

Well... I ended up not taking him actually. That night, I caught him walking normally on his "poorly " paw. But when he saw me watching him, he started to limp!!!! Ive kept him on the antibiotics and each day he is getting better and better. he's going out for hours on end, he's up and down the stairs well enough, so I think he will recover fully. Ill be keeping a very close eye on him though and will take him if I have any doubt at all.

My jack russell does that, he had a sore legs last summer and got lots of extra attention. then one day I was outside playing with Rascal through the ball and Jake too off full pelt on all 4 legs. I had to laugh, such a good actor.
