Sorry I haven't been back

Sally, my fleeces were to die for!!!

They pulled apart into gossamer   BUT although i was only ever playing about with a spindle then, I never had any trouble with felting. I didn't card but teased the washed staples apart. Perhaps the fact that they were half Shetland was the trick??
I NEED a Gotland ram :D

Fab news  ;D . Had a call from a lovely lady in Derbyshire who looks to be soon relieving us of our little starter flock. She'd already bought some Gotland lambs from a breeder in Rugby but wanted her own lambies next year so our small group is perfect for her. Hurrah ALOT. Still got other sheepies (inc tups for sale) if anyone is interested. We do need to cut down the flock ideally.

Mike is away in Yorkshire at the moment, are you sort of on the way home to Somerset for him??
Can you pm me with details of tups you have please? :eyelashes: :eyelashes: :eyelashes: :eyelashes: :sheep:

Thats good news, that you have a buyer for your starter flock.
I have met Pedwardines Gotlands.....they are beautiful.  I would have taken these Gotlands, but need to sort my new land out, as I could do have a Gotland ram with my Soays ....bit of a size difference for breeding.

Lady in Derbyshire's husband wanted to pay way less than the sheep are worth. Understand his reasoning but had already come down almost £200!! Never mind. We'll tup the girls and hopefully sell in-lamb next spring.
