It's got to be courgettes this year - they are one of the few plants that have done ok this year other than broad beans 
They also have lovely, bright yellow flowers that cheer me up - a bit like daffodils in the spring

It has to be peas and beans (any kind) because the children love picking them and eating them raw, there and then 
I do enjoy unearthing spuds too though
