Border Union Show Today
« on: July 28, 2012, 08:40:54 pm »
Was at the BUS in Kelso today, good turnout, saw Anke and Ballingal in the morning but didn't catch you girlies for a chat in the afternoon, so spoke to Agnus Aitken about pygmies instead - how did you all do?  GGs were looking lovely Anke.

RBST had lots of different fleeces out which looked good - Rosemary's Ryelands fleece was there as was my own Ronaldsay.  Interesting seeing all the different qualities - the softest out was an Alpaca seconded by our Ronaldsay, with your Ryeland Rosemary as being the most lanolin based.

Weather quite good all day but the 4pm heavy heavy shower saw most people home.  A good day though.
registered soay, castlemilk moorit  and north ronaldsay sheep, pygmy goats, steinbacher geese, muscovy ducks, various hens, lots of visiting mallards, a naughty border collie, a puss and a couple of guinea pigs
