Newbies - Rare Breed Pig Keeping - author Richard Lutwyche
« on: March 17, 2009, 09:36:29 pm »
Just to let you know that after an exhaustive search I have found this book (it comes highly recommended for newbies to pig keeping, like moi) at http://bookshop.blackwell.co.uk/jsp/search_results.jsp;jsessionid=5DD395D2C6D6A614D07DEA8F42AB735D.bobcatp1?quicksearch=1&wcp=1&catOID=-12117&searchData=rare+breed+pig+keeping&searchType=keywords&cntType=Book&x=14&y=8

It's for the reasonable price of £4.95. Anyone interested should click on the looooong link above.

regards,

I've just ordered this too! The other book I have which is great is 'starting with pigs' by andy Case.

Yep! It seems to me that there's a lot more money in cattle....but if I wanted to look at a stupid beast all day, i'd carry a mirror around  ;D Seriously though, I am planning to get a few Dexters for meat

'Rare Breed Pig Keeping' is an excellent book...it has everything in it...well worth the read. 'Any fool can be a pig farmer'....teaches you nothing, but is good for a laugh. There endeth the book review!

The new TAS site will have a book review section so you'll all get a chance to have your say!
