GOS x Berkshires
« on: May 04, 2012, 08:30:43 pm »
Again these breeds are unknown to me, we only had middle/large whites last year which went to slaughter at 6 months and weighed 50kilos.

What sort of size do GOS x Berkshires grow, are they bigger or smaller (apologies for sounding thick)  Would they still go for slaughter at 6/7 months?

Yup you can slap mark them the same  ;)
Berkshires are normally a wee bit smaller but as quick growing as the GOS, so they should still be on track for slaughter around 6-7 months.
They'll be cracking looking wee pigs too
