Hi - I used to get willow from a tree - bind it up in a circle - job done - then wrap around moss and ivy etc and decorate - bit cheaper perhaps.  Regards Jan

Thanks great advice! I've just come back from our annual Victorian Christmas Market and people were selling wreaths for £15 and they looked rubbish! Will check out the website and will try making from scratch!

Thanks

I've made a small wreath around a Poundland one - about 6 inches diameter - if that helps?

Here's mine, made this afternoon when I was supposed to be clearing up  :D
It took less than an hour and all the stuff came from here - including the base, made from two circles of single-strand fence wire  ;D

Thank you  :) but a wreath is easy:

Make (or buy) a circle of wire or bendy twigs. If wire best to make two circles, one smaller than the other, and zigzag some spare wire between them to hold then together.

Get some moss and cover the frame with it - wrap string or thin wire over and over as you go, to hold it in place.

Gather lots of evergreens. Make little bunches or bouquets - 4-5" long if you want a neat wreath, 8" long if you want a shaggier one like mine  Wind wire round the stems to hold the bunch together, leaving two long tails of wire. Poke the tails through the moss, twist to secure at the back. Put the head of the next bunch over the stems of the first one and carry in til you've covered it all.

Fasten in bows, baubles, berries, apples (that's what i used), oranges or whatever with wire, to make it colourful.

It really is much more straightforward than you think   :)
