Surplus Goats Milk for Poultry?
« on: October 25, 2011, 11:32:09 am »
Hi, I was wondering if it would be ok to mix the surplus goats milk I have in with milled barley, wheat and maize as a warm mash for my table birds? I'm trying to think of ways to cut down on the amount of growers pellets I feed. Anybody else fed this way?

My chickens have surplus goats milk every day  :)  on a sunday when I make up a big roast dinner they get all the peelings boiled up with some pasta and a bit of olive oil too  ;)  usually though I just add the still warm milk to some layers pellets to make up a sort of porridge and they love it - the calcium seems to have made their egg shells very hard too
