Day three ,  they have settled in well and now they come running when you walk in with a bucket, and they come right up to you for treats, just what we wanted.  If you lie down on the grass they soon come over to investigate.

I have drawn a complete blank finding castrated males within 2 hours travelling (that's up to 2 hours there and 2 hours back.)   

My nearest breeder is having a think about what other options there might be.  Fingers crossed...
