Have I missed something?

Can someone tell me what the stars are for?

I know the forum format is changing, but this is really bugging me now  ;)  ::)

what ive learnt from previous threads on this topic, is that, nobody really knows,it may have something to do with number of posts, or sections youve posted in, or even things you may, or may not have done in a former life.
i think all will be resolved with the new forum! ;)

Stars are to do with your status, I think (you'd think I'd KNOW, wouldn't you  ::)) And status is related to the number of posts you have made - it matters to some folk and not others. It doesn't have anything to do with the "quality" of your posts - we did try to introduce that but withdrew it. Personally, I don't think it matters  ;D

Oh, and I have no idea how it will be set up on the new site  ::)

I have no idea why I only have one star. I shall take it up with the management.

God, that gin and tonic was strong  ;D

Rosemary,
If you can't get an answer from, management regarding your star, then no one can. ;) ;) ;)

I think stars are probably related to your number of posts, but also your status. Ie- violet is a full member with 125 posts. Maybe if 125 posts is a lot of posts for a Full member before they move up to the next level of member (whatever that is). And Rosemary is a hero member- but maybe you need to have say 5000 posts before as a hero member you get 2 stars? Just my theorising!

It'll all be changing anyway!

It's just as well Fleecewife has only 1 star - if she's got only 1, I don't have to worry why I've got only 1!   ;D

The stars are now correct, and are directly linked to the number of posts you've made on the forums.

They were a bit odd for a while for some members because some of you were in a group to give you access to the Smallholder Show board. But that's gone now, so all is well again.  :)
