In some ways I loved our Series 2 - certainly, no-one cut us up at roundabouts. On the other hand, power steering was linked directly to the driver's biceps; intermittent wipe meant turning it on and off and I NEVER found 2nd gear. And it was sooooo cold in the winter.

Mind you, we have a Nissan X trail now, which does the job but I can't imagine ever getting excited enough about it to give it a name
