Daft people
« on: August 16, 2011, 11:17:58 pm »
A friend of ours just returned from a weeks holiday to find water coming through the ceiling in sufficient quantity to need all the lighting and most of the power to be isolated.

Her friend who'd been coming in every day to feed the cat said  "oh, I noticed that on the first day but assumed you knew about it"

It takes a lot to render our friend speechless...

This just goes to show that nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool!

This has just happened at our house which is empty - believe me, you would notice, and surely do somethng about it .....turn off water, electric, ring the friend - do something  ......not just stare at it!!!

My hubby last year kept saying water was running down the wall, I kept saying well it would do as the guttering is 300 years old and possibly a leak in a joint, he kept saying can I see it, I kept going outside and said "yes" to please him THEN!!! on a very rainy day I did see it and it was inside the house and not on the outside at all....I took no notice of him that time, we got it fixed as the downright was full of pearlings from having the house wall re rendered!! whops!!

As my hubby is Dyslexic, he often gives some strange descriptions or examples so you first have to decipher what he is talking about and as we have so many jobs I switched my ears off to the leak one but then saw for myself...here one job leads to another!!!

I often think I should keep a record of some of his funny sayings.
