Hi from Maggie - another newbie
« on: July 14, 2011, 12:44:54 pm »

North Devon here.  Also been lurking and now's the time to join.
I have Shetland Cattle (1xcow with heiffer calf.  2 x heiffers.  2 x bulls (I know I know!.. it's father & son and he was at foot when I bought him.)  And 1 x steer.
Also  Wiltshire Horns and only a few Southdown sheep.
Large Black pigs.

And.. I need help!

Cheers.

Hello Maggie in North Devon from Sally in north Cumbria

What sort of help are you wanting?
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Hi Millwood, Levi, Sally & Rosemary

Already had help from Rosemary re my Shetland heifers  ;D
I really just need the sort of practical help and advice one finds on forums such as this, from those who have *been there and done it*!

Ok so who's for a big glass of orange juice and tonic here in sunny hot Devon today?
