Hello flash and welcome from north Cumbria

What falcons do you have and how do you use them?
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Hi sally
My own falcons are a male (tiercel) peregrine and a female peregrine they hunt game mostly partridge phesant but we get the occasional duck to everything we catch we eat or is eaten by one of the other animals we put out food for phesants and partridge and give them dusting areas and we do a little predator control too so that they thrive i have also reintroduced grey partridge in some areas and they are now breeding

i fly 2 falcons and a hawk for pest control we use them as a deterent for keeping birds away from certian areas

Those are remote transmitters - if the hawk goes 'fly about' she can still be traced.  The handler carries a recever.  Pickles' one is probably the same.  Flash is on our Brittany forum too.  Got some super photos.

Hi Flash,

from just outside West Lothian! Whereabouts is your new place? My sister lives in West Lothian, and would love to move to someplace with a bit of land, but is waiting until her house sells..... It's going slowly!
