Stupid ducks
« on: February 09, 2009, 10:18:51 pm »
I cannot believe how stupid my ducks are.  I've just been out to shut the chickens' doors - 10 pm, and always try to shut the pophole into the ducks' cosy, straw filled, custom built, shed.  But there they are sitting on the freezing cold ground - not grass as it's all been macerated by them but cold damp earth - just sitting there cackling to themselves. So I've just left them to what would be sheer misery for me but apparently is not for them!  I daresay they'll go in eventually. :o :&> :&> :&> :&>

Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

We obviously don't have to worry if duck feet freeze lol, they must be like penguins'...I found that they slow down and rest a lot when it's so cold. Maybe they were just too cold to bother moving at all? :&>
