hen with a funny tail carriage!
« on: January 25, 2009, 04:05:40 pm »
Hi I would welcome any comments.

One of my hens has a funny tail carriage...it has been like this since her feathers came thru. They sit at as 45 degree tilt to the ground instead of to the sky. i have checked her out ....no bugs....she poos ok, so no constipation...I had read that sometimes POLs will lower their tail carriage before they come into lay for the first time, but that then resolves itself. She has a nice juicy red wattle and comb so i assume she is healthy..

So what has happened? Is she likely to have a normal tail after her moult next autumn?
