realy enjoyed the last two days

it has been a real pleasure to be outside the last two days
the song birds singing there hearts out in anticipation of a bountiful year
and the reason that they are happy and in turn making me happy?
the two magpies that claimed squatters rights in our wood have been evicted no more there chattering, constantly searching the trees and hedges for there next take away winding me up with there tantalising hoping about and flying of just before i could shoot them .two in the one day with an air gun not bad just the rest of the marauding bar stewards to eliminate (a legacy from the nursing home feeding there geese on the uneaten food that was shoveled out) at least the swallows should not get raided this year :) :)

Jackdaws are taking ours.  There are not many birds I don't like but magpies are one - the only year they came this far up the hill they pulled down every nest they could find and killed a sitting wagtail.  Bar stewards indeed.
