Hi from North Somerset

Hi All
We've finally taken the leap from just talking about having pigs  :pig: to actually getting some! 2 Tamworth cross weaners from Devon to dig over our wasteland of a back garden and hopefully provide some nice pork at the end. We're very proud of our DIY gates and pig house, which a friend pointed out looks very like the pyramid stage at Glastonbury! Just in the early stages of getting the feeding right and wondering whether it's normal that they like to sleep alot - but they have only been here 48 hrs so early days yet  ;D

Welcome from Costa Carnoustie!

Good luck with the pigs! Like all young animals, they will sleep a lot - interspersed with periods of frantic activity  ;D

Welcome from north Cumbria.     We're just about finishing eating  :farmer: :pig: our first pig, and seeking a mate for her sister to have our next new piggy experience.   :pig: :pig:
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
