Scanning success!
« on: January 22, 2011, 06:17:51 pm »
Well, it was a bit late in gestation (they were put to the tup beginning of October) but we decided to get our girls scanned and today was d-day, or perhaps s-day would be more suitable.

We bought 46 Hill Radnor and Llanwenog yearlings this year and added to that we've got our old 'lets give them one more year' screws too. Very pleased that we've got 36 singles, 18 twins and 1 triplet! Amazed that so many of the yearlings had twins and the triplet was a yearling too (not looking forward to that 1st time lambing!) and blow me down but all the old Balwen ewes have twins!

Waterhouse,

They are all due within a six week period, the scanner said 3 of the ewes were earlies so must have caught 1st cycle the rest must have caught later.
