hi all

im looking for a dairy goat to join our mad house

ive not kept goats in a few years and really really miss them.

ideally looking for a lady in milk, possibly with a kid at foot. we will be hand milking this year and getting a machine next year. the one i want is an arm and a leg. i wont compremise so keep slipping spare change in to the jar i will until i get the 1 that can work with the dairy sheep and the goats.

im offering a loving home for life. i have more land than i can use atm so a playground isnt an issue ha

im in sussex but going to sheffield next week so happily can and meet everyone and get a transporter to collect if further afield

I assume you are sorted by now, if not, and you are looking for a GG - the more local stock officers for the Golden Guernsey Goat Society are on their website. Usually very helpful folk for sourcing quality pedigree stock.

Also British Goat Society has a "stock for sale" section on their website, and there is of course the Pedigree goats on Facebook page (you need to join). If you ask for stock there you may well be indundated... (but they all should be pedigree and hopefully CAE/JOhne's neg).

funnily enough im picking up 3 GGs next week. i do need a buck for next year for the milking doe. im looking for a buckling so will have a look later on on the british goat society for him. thank you. i didnt even think of looking on there

The goats on the BGS website do disappear often quite quickly..., and if you are after a GG pedigree billly(buckling), it may be worth your while to join the Golden Guernsey Goat Society for the princely sum of (I think) 10 pounds per year and get access to the GGGS members area on their website, so you can put a "wanted" ad on there next spring. Memberships run from Jan to Dec, so maybe best to wait until spring.

GGGS also publishes a stud list for the whole of the UK (for GGGS members only), so you may also be able to go and use a male without having to go and buy one this early on.

a little younger than i planned. but, i can do ai this year and use him next year. id rather do that and get the right goat
